Head PGA Professional



Jeff Rafferty is in his 10th year as the head golf professional at Buffalo Golf Club.  Prior to taking the job at Buffalo, he was the head professional at The Powder Horn in Sheridan, WY for 2 years. He was the head pro at Casper Country Club in Casper, WY  from 2003 to 2009 and the head professional at Elks Country Club in Columbus, Nebraska in 2001 and 2002.


Elected to PGA membership in 1996,  Jeff has a total of 28 years of golf professional experience.  He completed the requirements for certification in Golf Operations through the PGA Certified Professional Program in 2008 putting him in an elite group of PGA professionals.  He is most proud of his role mentoring his assistant pros and helping them achieve success and advancement in the golf business.  Nine of his former assistants have gone on to become PGA Head Professionals and all are running their own successful golf programs.


Jeff met his wife Melissa at the University of Nebraska where they both played golf for the Huskers.  They have two daughters, Riley (21) and Callie (17).  A 1987 graduate of Buffalo High School,  Jeff is happy to be home managing the golf operation where he first learned the game.
